YOOMEi

YOOMEi (also known professionally as Mei Zhang) is a multilingual actress, creative director, songwriter, and former idol singer.

In December 2020, she began her journey as the youngest member of the idol trainee group Zioletta (지올레이타), which disbanded before the official debut.

In January 2022, she made her Japanese solo idol debut with a single and then released the full album in July 2022. After catching the eyes of various talent scouts from some of the top entertainment companies in South Korea and Japan, she deleted her social media and secretly dedicated herself to the quiet lifestyle of a K-Pop idol trainee again.

In May 2026, she fully shifted to an acting career in the west. On her birthday, August 5th, 2026, she announced her official idol graduation with her own retro City Pop-inspired game project <iDOL TRiAL> An Underground Idol’s Confession 1987∞. She plans to continue pursuing acting, as well as content creation and live-streaming retro games.
